After recording our 'Zicket In-depth' Video we sat down for a chat with Aidan. Here’s what he had to say in response to our quick-fire Meet the Team Q&A :

Why did you join Zicket?  In 2017 I emigrated to Hong Kong to join the highly successful teams at the AIA Carnival and Hong Kong Observation Wheel in a Digital Marketing and Technological Innovation capacity.

Soon after, the business expanded to Singapore & China and The Great Entertainment Group (GEG) was formed. GEG also had a ticketing start-up in their portfolio, The Ticketing Company (TTCL) which was servicing internal events & projects but had much more potential for growth.

There was an opportunity to develop a brand, increase the technical capabilities, establish a new full-service ticketing company in Hong Kong, and Zicket was born mid-2018.

It was the perfect opportunity for me, at the right time of my career and I will always be thankful to our group chairman, Michael for seeing the potential in both myself and the company. We rebranded The Ticket Company to Zicket, expanded the team, attracted external clients and really hit the ground running in our first year.

It’s been a whirlwind 2-years, we’ve delivered events in multiple countries, racked up very impressive system numbers, and I’m really excited to get back to the planned chaos of events post-pandemic which we are all drawn to and missing!

What is the favourite event you’ve been to? Being a self-confessed event-junkie it is difficult to narrow it down to one, but the highlight event as a guest would have to be Coachella.

The event really has it all, a beautiful setting & backdrop, glorious weather and their content is always ahead of the curve. It's a perfect mix of components and creates a very unique environment and feels, unlike any other event… It’s like Disneyland, but for adults!

Tell us the 3 tech items you couldn’t live without. As long as you have your iPhone, you can generally get by in today's world. The technology is very powerful and our dependence on these hyper-convenient products only grows day-by-day.

I’m a huge apple advocate and there isn't a lot I cannot achieve with my MacBook, iPhone and AirPods.

Besides events, what else are you passionate about? I love food, travelling to new places, and travelling to new places to try the food.

The pandemic has firmly put the brakes on travelling but I am very fortunate to live in a place like Hong Kong. It's very easy to escape the city and the food options here are world-class with a steady influx of new restaurants, hotspots and cuisines every month.
